DeepSeek will brief the United Nations Security Council this week on risks posed by AI, Reuters, citing sources, reported. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and senior representatives from Anthropic are also expected to attend.
The United Nations General Assembly is being held in New York, while the 15-member Security Council is scheduled to convene on Wednesday (23rd) to discuss AI and international security.
DeepSeek and other Chinese AI companies, including Moonshot AI, have reportedly been invited to attend, although DeepSeek founder Liang Wenfeng does not plan to participate in person.
